Clay Festival 2013


 CLAY FESTIVAL – 2013
Sat/Sun 2/3 March

Please remember that this event is only held every two years – so don’t miss out on
 Attending workshops presented by well known ceramists covering a wide variety of techniques;
           Visiting the exciting new addition to Clay Festival - Ceramics in Action - where you will be able to watch seven well known artists working on their own projects over the two day period by purchasing a 2-day pass;
  Admiring the foyer upon entering the venue which will be decorated by Digby Hoets;
                    Visiting the Trade Hall with leading suppliers on site with new stocks, books, giving lots of advice, demonstrations and a friendly chat;
        Watching demonstrations of wheelwork and an ongoing sculpture building exercise as well as demonstrations of various techniques by member Teaching Studios in the Trade Hall;
   Visiting the Ceramics Southern Africa stand which will be situated in the front of the Trade Hall selling old and new books, magazines and promotional items. Friendly representatives will be available with lots of information, advice and goodwill. Ceramics SA Fellows will also be doing duty on the stand;
    Buying a raffle ticket for a chance to win a prize donated by the three visiting Cape ceramists - Madoda Fani, Lisa Firer and Charmaine Haines and one from Digby Hoets of Gauteng;
    Enjoying a delicious array of homemade goodies, salads, soups and refreshments again being offered by Flavours Deli & Bistro in the café area in the Trade Hall where they will also be selling their superb bottled products;
AND
last but not least
using the motivation from Clay Festival 2013
to inspire your pieces for the upcoming Regional Exhibition
at MuseuMAfricA Newtown from 14 to 28 April 2013
