Many of us do not know that there are many
galleries and studios in Pretoria and where they are located. To guide art
lovers, a group of gallery owners, curators and artists decided to organize an
ART MEANDER so to call, art-roundabout, on the first Sunday of every month from
10h00 to 17h00. This meander gives art lovers the unique opportunity to plan
their visits to galleries and studios in a leisurely manner, to explore and to
enjoy the company of other lovers of the arts and to continually discover new
works of art.
To coincide with the monthly ART MEANDER the Association of
Arts Pretoria will host a Pottery/Christmas market on its premises on Sunday,
7 December 2014 from 10h00 to 16h00. There will be an exhibition by
Elizabeth Riding inside the gallery with the ‘Pottery Market’ tables surrounding
the building – this is where ceramic artists
can meet the public and discuss their work on offer. It is a unique opportunity
for Ceramics SA members to interact with those persons who come to look and buy
and with one another.
The cost of a table is R200-00 per exhibitor. Tables will be provided by the Association of Arts,
exhibitors must however bring their own tablecloths, chairs, umbrellas, gazebos,
etc. No commission will be taken and each member is responsible for his or her
sales. Exhibitors can start
setting up between 08h30 and 09h30 in order to be ready for the public at
10h00. We are certain that we will have a good turn out and that this Potters
market on Sunday 7 December 2014 will be the beginning of a two monthly market
on our premises.

and email to artspta@mweb.co.za before 15 November 2014. Table fees must be paid into the Association’ of Arts
bank account upon booking.
