WEDNESDAY
– 24 APRIL – 12 noon - Wendy Goldblatt

teaching studio, works in stoneware and porcelain and has exhibited at Regional
and National exhibitions.
She enjoys
teaching – “making ceramics is sometimes a lonely occupation and teaching keeps
you in touch with people and makes you look at things through other eyes”. She enjoys attending courses on different
aspects of ceramics and received inspiration through Suzette Munnik’s course on
Background/Foreground. She specializes in one off porcelain and stoneware
pieces with an emphasis on decoration.
Wendy started the
South African Crafts Council with Eugene Hön in 1991 as she felt the crafts in
South Africa needed an umbrella body to represent them on broader issues.
SATURDAY

will lead another
walkabout and discussion before the exhibition closes on the 28th of
April.
