Hare(i)tage on Heritage Day

On Heritage Day the 24th September a professional storyteller will bring the Hare(i)tage exhibition, at the Origins Centre to life.

Mischievous, debonair, unpredictable, patiently tolerated and indestructible, Hare is the central character in this exhibition of ceramic sculptures by Lindy van Hasselt

At 10am and again at 11.30am you will be spellbound as the stories behind the sculptures are told.

The artist will be available for walkabouts at 9.30 am and 11am.

ENTRANCE IS FREE, the SAHARA exhibition is still running, the permanent exhibits are gorgeous and Café Fino's coffee rocks.

Where else would you want to be on Heritage Day?

The Centre is open daily from 10am – 5pm
Address: Cnr Yale & Enoch Sontonga, Wits University, Braamfontein

POTTERS’ MARKET

Now is the time to book your table for the Potters’ Market at the Association of Arts Pretoria on Saturday, October 4.  The jacarandas will be flowering and we hope to have hundredsof visitors coming to see what we do.

This has been planned as part of a ceramic event, with a special exhibition inside the gallery,  and all the tables surrounding the building, where the potters, sculptors, ceramic artists will be  there to meet the public and discuss the work on offer.
During the morning a walkabout inside the gallery will introduce the work on show to the visitors.
This is a wonderful opportunity for all the members to interact with each other and with those who come to look and buy.

There will be a tea garden where visitors can relax and meet their friends. Last year the tea garden sold out very early but we have a new team who will make sure that everything works well.

Table fees are R200 and can be paid into the CSA account when you book your table.
